PPT2000: File Open Dialog Box Defaults to Preview View (242520)

SYMPTOMS

When you set the view in the Open dialog box to something other than the Preview view (click the Views button and then click Preview), the dialog box retains that view until you quit Microsoft PowerPoint. Then, it reverts back to the Preview view when you use it again.

CAUSE

PowerPoint does not permanently save the Open dialog view settings. This behavior is by design of Microsoft PowerPoint.
