SUMMARY

The "Existing Items Converter" is a Microsoft Outlook COM Add-in that allows you to change the message class of items in a folder. This allows you to specify which form an item will use when it opens.

MORE INFORMATION

Summary information about the Exising Items Converter is available at the following Microsoft Web page:
You can download the Existing Items Converter from the following Microsoft Web page: The Existing Items Converter, also known as "Change Forms," is designed to make it easier to change the message class of items directly in Outlook. It replaces other utilities that are designed to accomplish the same task, such as the "Microsoft Word 97 Outlook Message Class document (Omsgclas.doc)" utility and various other Outlook form templates that are available for download from various Web sites.

Because the add-in is a COM add-in, it can only be used in Microsoft Outlook 2000. Outlook 97 and Outlook 98 do not support COM add-ins.

NOTE: Documentation for the Existing Items Converter is installed in the \Microsoft Office\Office\Addins folder and is named Changefmreadme.rtf.
