SYMPTOMS

Your computer may stop responding (hang) while it is entering Standby mode (suspending), if either of the following actions occurs:
  • You erratically move the Universal Serial Bus (USB) mouse that is attached to the computer while the computer is in the process of suspending.
  • You rapidly press keys on the USB keyboard that is attached to the computer while the computer is in the process of suspending.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

MORE INFORMATION

If you are using a non-USB (legacy) mouse and/or keyboard, this problem does not occur.
