Works Suite 2001: Task Launcher Does Not Start Mail-merge Documents Task (239344)

SYMPTOMS

When you click Mail-merge documents in the Microsoft Works Task Launcher and you then click Start this task, Microsoft Word starts, but the mail merge task does not start.

NOTE: The Mail-merge documents task is on the task list of the Word pane when you click Word on the Programs tab of the Works Task Launcher.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if the Trust all installed add-ins and templates check box in the Word Security dialog box is not selected (checked).

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
  1. Start Microsoft Word.
  2. On the Tools menu, point to Macro, and then click Security.
  3. Click the Trusted Sources tab.
  4. Click to select the Trust all installed add-ins and templates check box, and then click OK.
