Works 2000: Border Settings Are Only Applied to the First Return Address Label (239340)

SYMPTOMS

If you attempt to change the borders and shading of return address labels in a Microsoft Works 2000 Word Processor document, you may experience the following symptoms:
  • The new border settings are only applied to the first return address label.
  • The new shading settings are applied to all of the return address labels.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, select all of the return address labels for which you want to change the borders and shading, and then apply the changes:
  1. Start the Works 2000 Word Processor.
  2. On the File menu, click Open.
  3. Browse to select the file that contains the return address labels, and then click Open.
  4. Select the labels that you want to format.
  5. On the Format menu, click Borders and Shading.
  6. Under Borders, select the border settings that you want to apply to the return address labels.
  7. Under Shading, select the shading settings that you want to apply to the return address labels.
  8. Click OK.
  9. On the File menu, click Print Preview.
The border and shading settings are applied to the all of the return address labels that you selected.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Works 2000.
