The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Works 2000

This article was previously published under Q239278

SYMPTOMS

When you apply a colored border to a Microsoft Works 2000 Word Processor document page or text box, and then click Print Preview on the File menu, the border appears gray.

When you click the arrow in the Zoom box on the Standard toolbar, and then select Whole Page, the border appears gray.

The border is printed as expected, in color.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur because when you view an entire document with Print Preview or with the Zoom tool, the border image is reduced below the size for which it is designed to display color.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, select 100% on the Zoom tool.

The Zoom tool is located on the Standard toolbar and is a box with a percentage number inside.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Works 2000.
