The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Works 2000
  • Microsoft Works Suite 2000

This article was previously published under Q239194

SYMPTOMS

When you start Microsoft Works 2000 Spreadsheet or Works 2000 Database on a computer that is configured to use multiple monitors, the tooltip may appear on the primary monitor when you point to a tool on the toolbar and the toolbar is on the secondary monitor.

You expect the tooltip to appear on the secondary monitor near the mouse pointer.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if you drag the document window so that it spans both monitor screens, and the toolbar is on the secondary monitor but the Font Name and Font Size icons appear on the primary monitor.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
