When you copy data that has been formatted to use the Euro symbol (?), and then you paste the data to an unformatted Works Spreadsheet file, it pastes as dollars.

When you copy a Works Spreadsheet column that has been formatted to use the Euro symbol, and then you paste the column to another column in the same Works Spreadsheet file (formatted or not), it pastes as the Euro symbol.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, format the cell or column that has the incorrect monetary symbol after the data has been pasted.

To format a cell or column to use the Euro currency symbol, follow these steps:
  1. In Works Spreadsheet, select the column or cell that you want to format.
  2. On the Format menu, click Number.
  3. On the Number tab, under Format, click Currency.
  4. Under Options, click to select the Use euro symbol [?] check box, and then click OK.

The Euro symbol now appears in place of the dollar sign.
