The information in this article applies to:
This article was previously published under Q238826 SYMPTOMS
When you attempt to start Microsoft Vizact, you get the following error message:
Microsoft Vizact
You must be running 256 color mode or higher.
You can change the color depth from the control panel display icon.
After you click OK, the program quits.
CAUSE
Vizact requires a color depth of 256 colors or greater. Although the box states that VGA is required, not all color depths of VGA will work.
NOTE: Although the retail product box of Vizact 2000 states that VGA or higher resolution is required, if you are running in standard, 16 color VGA, you will not be able to run Microsoft Vizact.
