Hidden Accounts Are Displayed with a Dollar Sign ($) Suffix (238500)

When you browse the Directory using explorer in My Network Places, you may see external trust accounts with a name similar to "DOMAINNAME$," even though the account is supposed to be hidden. You can see these accounts in the Users container.
NOTE: These hidden accounts are not visible in the Active Directory Users and Computers Management Console.
CAUSE
This is a feature to quickly differentiate between foreign or local accounts.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Windows 2000.
