When you attempt to stop the NetBEUI Protocol service using the "net stop nbf" command, you may see the following output:
The NetBEUI Protocol service is stopping......
The NetBEUI Protocol service could not be stopped.
CAUSE
This issue can occur if another program is using Remote Procedure Call (RPC).
RESOLUTION
To work around this issue, if you want to disable NetBEUI, you must uninstall, and then reinstall NetBEUI.
