SYMPTOMS

If you remove Microsoft Encarta Encyclopedia 99 during the installation of Microsoft Encarta Encyclopedia 2000, Setup may quit unexpectedly before Encarta Encyclopedia 2000 is installed.

RESOLUTION

To work around this issue, restart Setup after it quits unexpectedly and install Encarta Encyclopedia 2000.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Encarta Encyclopedia 2000.
