VIZACT: Java Applets Load and Play in Background Even if Timing Has Them Hidden. (236668)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Vizact 2000

This article was previously published under Q236668

SYMPTOMS

If you hide a Java applet in your page, or apply a timing setting to the applet, it will continue to run while it is off-screen or hidden.

Also, if the applet does not appear on the timeline before a certain period of time, the applet will still play while it was hidden.

MORE INFORMATION

If you set the timing of an element on the page, the object is hidden or shown on the page in a certain amount of time. Java applets will always load, when the page loads, and play in the background.
