The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Office 2000 Developer
This article was previously published under Q236470 Moderate: Requires basic macro, coding, and interoperability skills.
SYMPTOMS
The Help file for the WinAPI Viewer states the following:
By default, the WinAPI Viewer uses the Win32api.txt text file to store API information. You can convert this to a Jet Database for better performance. It is much faster to display the list when opening a database than when opening a .txt file. You can convert the .txt files to Jet Database files simply by loading the .txt file and choosing "Convert..." from the File menu.
This information is incorrect. Further, if you try to load a database file, you may receive the following error message:
An unexpected error has occurred: 0
This error is displayed for database files that have been converted from an earlier version to Access 2000.
CAUSE
The WinAPI Viewer does not support Microsoft Jet databases as it did in earlier versions.
