SYMPTOMS

When you start the Recovery Console in Windows 2000, you may be unable to eject the Windows 2000 CD-ROM.

CAUSE

This issue can occur if you boot your computer using the Windows 2000 CD-ROM. Drivers and files the Recovery Console needs are located on the CD-ROM, so it locks the CD-ROM drive.
