SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to print an envelope using Home Publishing 2000, you may receive the following error message:
Homepub.exe caused a General Protection Fault in module Hpfdjc07.drv.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if a Hewlett-Packard DeskJet 660C printer is connected to your computer.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, install the Hewlett Packard DeskJet 660C printer driver from your Microsoft Windows 95 or Microsoft Windows 98 installation CD-ROM. To do this:

  1. Insert your Windows 95 or Windows 98 CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive. Press and hold down the SHIFT key when you insert the CD-ROM to prevent Setup from starting automatically.
  2. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Printers.
  3. Double-click Add Printer.
  4. Click Local Printer or Network Printer, and then click Next.
  5. Under Manufacturers, click HP.
  6. Under Printers, click HP DeskJet 660 (Color), and then click Next.
  7. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation process.
