PIP: Envelope Is Not Printed Properly on Canon BJC-240 (236211)

SYMPTOMS

When you print envelopes in one of the programs that are listed at the beginning of this article, approximately 0.5 inch of printable area may not be printed on the stamp-side margin.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if the following conditions are true:

  • You print the envelope to a Canon BJC-240 printer.

  • You insert the envelope face-up with the flap toward the printer.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, follow these steps:

  1. On the File menu, click Print.
  2. In the Print dialog box, under Envelope printing, click Envelope Options.
  3. In the Envelope Printing Options dialog box, click the following options under Feed Method:
    • Face up
    • Portrait
    • Return address first

  4. Click OK, and then click OK again.
