SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to use the Paste command on the Edit menu in Internet Explorer, you may be unable to paste data into a text box on a Web page.

CAUSE

This issue can occur if you are viewing a Web page that uses frames and the frames contain content from diferent security zones. (For example, the Web page may use a frame in the Internet zone and another frame in the Intranet zone.)

RESOLUTION

To work around this issue, right-click the text box where you want to paste the data, and then click Paste, or click the text box, and then press CTRL+V.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
