SMS: Client May Not Install On Finnish Windows NT Workstations (236039)

SYMPTOMS

Upon installation of the English Systems Management Server 2.0 client onto a Finnish Windows NT Workstation 4.0 Service Pack 4, the client software may not be properly installed. If you are using Smsman.exe to manually install the client, you many see the following in the WN_Manual.log:

In a similar manner, installing the client through Smsls.bat / BOOT32WN reveals the same problem.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Systems Management Server version 2.0. This problem has been corrected in the latest U.S. service pack for Systems Management Server version 2.0.
