Steps to Modify Video Control Size

The default encoder settings files that are included can be modified using the NetShow Encoder that is installed with the online broadcasting feature.
  1. On the Windows Start menu, point to Programs, then click Windows Explorer.
  2. Navigate to the directory_path\Microsoft Office\Office\Broadcast\ folder.

    Where directory_path is the drive and path to the Microsoft Office folder.
  3. Click the file named video.asd.
  4. On the Edit menu, click Copy. On the Edit menu, click Paste. This will put a file named "Copy of video.asd" into the folder.
  5. Double-click the original "video.asd" file.
  6. On the Edit menu, click Properties.
  7. Click the Compression tab, click Advanced for the Video settings.
  8. Choose the Custom option for Image Size and specify the desired width and height in pixels. The default size is 176 pixels wide and 144 pixels tall.
  9. Click OK, and then OK again.
  10. On the File menu, click Save.
  11. You can now quit from the Encoder.
NOTE: It is important to remember that a great deal of testing went into determining the specific encoder settings that are shipped with PowerPoint 2000, to ensure good quality on the widest range of supported configurations. By changing these settings, you run the risk of experiencing problems that were not present with the default settings.
