XL2000: "File Format Is Not Valid" Error Message When You Open Quattro Pro WB2 or WB3 File (235333)

When you attempt to open a Quattro Pro file that is saved in the WB2 file format, you receive the following error message:
File name: file format is not valid
where File name is the name of the file that you are trying to open.
When you attempt to open a Quattro Pro file that is saved in the WB3 file format, you receive the following error message:
This file is not a recognizable format.
- If you know the file is from another program that is incompatible with
Microsoft Excel, click Cancel, then open this file in its original
application. If you want to open the file later in Microsoft Excel, save
it in a format that is compatible, such as text format.
- If you suspect the file is damaged, click Help for more information
about solving the problem.
- If you want to see what text is contained in the file, click OK. Then
click Finish in the Text Import Wizard.
CAUSE
Microsoft Excel 2000 does not support opening files that have been saved in the Quattro Pro WB2 or WB3 file formats. Microsoft Excel can open Quattro WB3 files after you install the Quattro Pro 7.0 Converter for Excel 2000 from the following Microsoft Web site:
NOTE: The Quattro Pro 7.0 Converter does not support the Quattro Pro 7.0/8.0 WB3 file format from Quattro Pro for Windows 8.0.
WORKAROUNDFor WB2 Files:
Reopen your WB2 file in Quattro Pro, and save the file in a file format that is supported by Excel. For additional information about the file formats supported by Excel, click the article number below

Download and install the file Qp7conv.exe from the following Microsoft Web site:
