SBFM2000: Recalculate Reports Does Not Update Charts (234125)

SYMPTOMS

When you update your accounting data and then click Recalculate Reports, the following message appears:
All the reports in this workbook are already up to date. There is no need to update your reports.
Any charts that you have created in the Microsoft Small Business Financial Manager are not updated.

CAUSE

This problem occurs when you do the following:
  • You create a financial chart in the Small Business Financial Manager.

    -and-
  • You modify your accounting data in Inuit QuickBooks for Windows.

    -and-
  • You click Update on the startup screen worksheet in the SBFM, and then click Recalculate Reports on the Financial Manager menu.

WORKAROUND

It is not possible to update charts after you create them in the SBFM. If you update your accounting data, you must re-create your charts.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
