SYMPTOMS

When you publish a report to the Web that was created in the Microsoft Small Business Financial Manager, rows and columns that were hidden are visible on the published Web page.

This problem occurs when you do the following:
  • You create a financial report using the Microsoft Small Business Financial Manager (SBFM).

    -and-
  • You click either of the following commands on the File menu:
    • Save as Web Page
    • Web Page Preview

WORKAROUND

To publish a SBFM report as a Web page and maintain hidden rows and columns, follow these steps:
  1. Select the cells that you want to publish. For example, if you create a Balance Sheet report and your Total Liabilities and Owner's Equity is in cell H61, select cells F25 through H61.

One way to select these cells easily is by using the Go To feature. Press F5 to invoke the Go To dialog box. In the Reference box, type F25:H61 and click OK.
  2. On the File menu, click Save as Web Page.
  3. In the Save As dialog box, click Selection:$F$25:$H$61. If you want users to have interactivity with the workbook, click to select the Add interactivity check box and click Publish.
  4. Type a file name for your .htm file in the File name box.
  5. Click to select the Open published web page in browser check box, and click Publish.
