BUG: List Box Draws Incorrectly When LBS_USETABSTOPS Is Used (233187)

SYMPTOMS

When a list box is created with the LBS_USETABSTOPS style, selected items paint incorrectly where the background of the item's text is painted with the system's highlight color and the remaining white space is painted black. In addition, if the list box is created with the WS_HSCROLL style, the item text in the list box paints incorrectly when scrolled.

RESOLUTION

Do not use the LBS_USETABSTOPS style or the WS_HSCROLL style with list boxes under the listed versions of Windows CE.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a bug in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
