Context Menu for Desktop Does Not Display Using Shift+F10 (232741)

SYMPTOMS

When you press SHIFT+F10 to open the context menu for your desktop, a different context menu than the one you want may open. For example, you may open a context menu with the Open, Explore, and Find commands even though you want the context menu with the Active Desktop, Arrange Icons, and Line Up Icons commands.

CAUSE

This issue can occur if the focus (normally appearing as a dotted-line box) is not on the desktop but is on an object on the desktop, such as an icon.

RESOLUTION
