Joystick or Game Controllers tool in Control Panel, the Joystick or Game
Controllers icon may be missing. CAUSE This issue may occur if the Joy.cpl file is missing or

Extract a New Copy of the Joy.cpl File Extract a new copy of the Joy.cpl file from the Microsoft Windows
CD-ROM or the appropriate floppy disk to the following folder: where drive is the hard disk on which

How to Extract Original Compressed Windows Files
Reinstall Microsoft Windows To reinstall Windows:
- Insert the Windows CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive, or insert
the Windows Disk 1 floppy disk into the floppy disk drive.
- Click Start, and then click
Run.
- In the Open box, type the following line,
and then click OK: where drive is the letter of your
CD-ROM or floppy disk drive.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to reinstall
Windows.
Note You may have to reinstall the SideWinder Game Controller software
after you reinstall Windows.
