ACC2000: In RTL Pages, Control Disappears When Position Property is Changed to Relative (232062)

SYMPTOMS

After you place a control on a right-to-left (RTL) data access page, changing its Position property to Relative causes it to permanently disappear.

CAUSE

Only Absolute positioning is supported in data access page sections. Changing the Position property to Relative results in unexpected behavior in both RTL and left-to-right (LTR) pages.

Steps to Reproduce Behavior

  1. Start Access and open any database.
  2. Create a new right-to-left data access page.
  3. Add a text box control to the page.
  4. Right-click the control, and click Properties on the shortcut menu.
  5. Change the Position property to Relative.

    Note that the control disappears.
