Large Fonts Entry Is Missing in Display Properties (232034)

SYMPTOMS

When you try to select "Large Font" in the Font Size box on the General tab of your video adapter properties, the Large Font entry may be missing.

CAUSE

This issue can occur if you have a Diamond Stealth 3D 2000 video adapter with the S3 ViRGE PCI (325) video adapter driver installed, and your video resolution is higher than 640 x 480 with 16 colors.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, contact your hardware manufacturer to inquire about the availability of a fix for this issue, or obtain and install the most current driver for this device. For information about how to obtain and install the most current driver for this device, view the documentation included with your device, or contact your hardware manufacturer.

To work around this issue, change your screen resolution and color palette:
  1. Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Display.
  2. Click the Settings tab, click an entry in the Colors box, move the Screen area slider to a different setting, and then click OK.
