WD2000: Wrong Cell Selected Using SHIFT+ARROW Key in Right-to-Left Table (231392)

SYMPTOMS

If you select a cell in a right-to-left table and try to select the cell to the left of that cell by using the SHIFT+LEFT ARROW key combination, Word instead selects the cell to the right of it.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, use the mouse pointer to select cells in right-to-left tables.

NOTE: Using the opposite arrow key does not work. That is, if you want to select the cell to the left, using the SHIFT+RIGHT ARROW key combination does not select the cell to the left.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
