SUMMARY

Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 includes a version of Microsoft Outlook Express that now allows you to access a Microsoft Exchange 2000 server using the new WebDAV (Web Distributing, Authoring Versioning) protocol.

The WebDAV protocol provides DAV-compliant clients, like Outlook Express and the new Outlook Web Access, greater scalability and performance capability than IMAP or POP3 protocols.

  8. Specify the URL to your Exchange Server computer in the Incoming Mail (POP3, IMAP, or HTTP) server box, for example, http://exchange_server_name/exchange/user_mailbox.
