When you open Windows Explorer using Web View with Internet Explorer 5 installed the status bar does not display the number of objects in the window or the number may be displayed for a brief time.
When you drag the pointer over the objects you want to select in Windows Explorer, the number of objects you select is displayed only until you release the mouse button.
When you click Select All on the Edit menu in Windows Explorer, the number of objects on the status bar is displayed only until you move the pointer.
RESOLUTIONMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. STATUSMicrosoft is researching this problem and will post more information in this article when the information becomes available.
