SYMPTOMS

When you are using a 3dfx Interactive Voodoo2 driver to view 3D graphics on a computer that is running Windows 2000, the video mode may seem to be different from the mode you selected in Display properties.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because the Voodoo2 driver supports only 16-bits-per-pixel modes. The program that you are using to view the 3D graphics may not check the maximum color depth that is available for the video adapter, and the 32-bit option may seem to be available.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.

MORE INFORMATION

The Voodoo2 adapter is designed to function as a pass-through adapter. Windows 2000 identifies it as a secondary adapter.
