SYMPTOMS

When you use one of the programs listed at the beginning of this article, you may receive an "out of disk space" error message.

You may receive this error message even if more than 50 megabytes (MB) of space is available on the hard disk.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if Helix Hurricane is running on your computer.

Helix Hurricane is part of McAffee Utilities Suite.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue:
  1. Start Hurricane Control Center.
  2. Click Custom Configuration.
  3. Click RAM Drive.
  4. Click Properties.
  5. Click to clear the Update TEMP Directories In Environment check box.
  6. Click OK, and then restart the computer.
