FrontPage Express Is Not Listed When You Click Edit (224968)

SYMPTOMS

After you install Office 2000 Premium on a computer with Microsoft FrontPage Express installed, FrontPage Express may not be listed when you click Edit in Internet Explorer 5.

CAUSE

When you install Office 2000 Premium, Microsoft FrontPage 2000 is registered as the default HTML editor instead of FrontPage Express.

RESOLUTION

To specify the default HTML editor in Internet Explorer 5:
  1. Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Internet Options.
  2. Click the Programs tab.
  3. In the HTML Editor box, click Microsoft FrontPage Express, and then click OK.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
