This article describes the switches you can use with the print and printto commands.

MORE INFORMATION

The print and printto commands are available on files you can print when you drag the file to the printer. These commands can include several print switches.

You can use these switches to send information to the printer when you drag a file to the printer. The following table describes each switch and its corresponding action.

To view these switches, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, point to Programs, and then click Windows Explorer.
  2. On the View menu, click Folder Options, and then click File Types.
  3. In the Registered file types box, click TIF Image Document, and then click Edit.
  4. Click Printto, and then click Edit.
  5. The switches are displayed in the Application used to perform action box.
NOTE: These switches are contained in most file types that you can print. For example, some of the file types that include these switches are contained in the following list:
  • Text Document
  • PCX Image Documents
  • Bitmap Image
