Edit with Netscape Navigator Feature Does Not Work (224959)

SYMPTOMS

When you try to edit a Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) file in Internet Explorer by clicking "Edit with Netscape Navigator", Internet Explorer may stop responding (hang).

CAUSE

This issue can occur if you are running Netscape Navigator version 4.08 without the Netscape Composer component installed. When you do so, Netscape Navigator version 4.08 is not properly registered as an HTML editor.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, install the Netscape Composer component, or upgrade to Netscape Communicator version 4.08 or later.
