SYMPTOMS

If you click a topic marked with an animation icon in the Pinpointer in Microsoft Encarta Encyclopedia 99, the animation may not be played.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if the topic is not located on the Encarta CD-ROM.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Encarta Encyclopedia 99.

MORE INFORMATION

Any media topic that is not located on the Encarta CD-ROM is marked with an animation icon in the Pinpointer. However, most topics marked with an animation icon in the Pinpointer are located on the Encarta CD-ROM.
