INFO: HTML Borders Always Show in Pocket CE Internet Explorer (223284)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Windows CE 2.11 for the Handheld PC
This article was previously published under Q223284 SUMMARY
Under Windows CE version 2.11, the HTML FRAMEBORDER attribute in a FRAMESET or FRAME tag is ignored by Pocket Internet Explorer (PIE) when rendering a page. The result is that frame borders are always displayed regardless of the value of the FRAMEBORDER attribute. The FRAMESPACING and BORDER attributes are similarly ignored if they are set to a value that would result in the disappearance of a frame border.
The reason for this behavior is to provide Windows CE users with a means for resizing frames on a displayed page, a frequent necessity considering the display area constraints of many CE machines.
