OL2000: (CW) Outlook Appears to Hang While Updating Calendar (222358)

SYMPTOMS
If you use a Remote Access Service (RAS) to log onto a Microsoft Exchange Server computer, and an associate has sent you a meeting request with a large file attached, Outlook appears to stop responding until the file is downloaded.
CAUSE
When the appointment is received, the calendar update process pauses while the file is being downloaded.
RESOLUTION
Request that your associates send files as attachments to mail messages, rather than as attachments to appointments.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
