SYMPTOMS

While Outlook includes support for the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP), it contains no means to import LDAP Data Interchange Format (LDIF) files.

RESOLUTION

You can use Outlook Express to import LDIF files, and then import them from Outlook Express.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
