Works Suite 99: Cannot Start Encarta Encyclopedia 99 (221953)

SYMPTOMS

When you install Microsoft Encarta Encyclopedia 99 from Microsoft Works Suite 99, you may receive the following message when you attempt to start Encarta Encyclopedia:
Insert Encarta Encyclopedia Disc 1.
If you insert the Works Suite 99 Disc 1 CD-ROM and then click OK, this message remains on the screen.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because the Encarta Encylopedia files are located on the Works Suite 99 Disk 2 CD-ROM.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, insert the Works Suite 99 Disc 2 CD-ROM labeled Encarta Encyclopedia into your CD-ROM drive, and then click OK.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Works Suite 99.
