XL: Gridlines Are Not Displayed in Web Browser (221077)

SYMPTOMS

When you save an Excel worksheet that contains gridlines as HTML and open the page in a Web browser, the gridlines are not displayed.

CAUSE

Microsoft Excel is designed not to retain gridlines when you save a worksheet as HTML.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, format the cells with borders. NOTE: The borders will be displayed in the Web browser if the browser supports borders.
