WD2000: IPF Printing Multiple Copies of Non-Collated Document with Asymmetrical Table (220346)

SYMPTOMS

When you try to print a document in which all of the following conditions are true:

  • The document contains an asymmetrical table.

    An asymmetrical table can be defined as a two-column table in which column 1 contains two rows and column 2 contains one row, as in the following diagram:

  • You turn off print collation (on the File menu, click Print to view the Collate check box in the Copies section of the Print dialog box).
  • You print more than one copy of the document (on the File menu, click Print to view the Number of copies box in the Copies section of the Print dialog box).
  • You print to one of the following printers:

    Canon BJC series
The following error message may appear:
This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down.

If the problem persists, contact the program vendor.
When you click Details, the following message is displayed:
WINWORD caused an invalid page fault in WINWORD.EXE at 015f:300c6cal.
NOTE: The actual memory address may vary.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, print one copy of the document at a time.

To print one copy of a document:
  1. On the File menu, click Print.
  2. In the Copies section, click to select 1 from the Number of copies box.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
