The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Word 2000

This article was previously published under Q220212

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to set a frame page border width to a value less than .05 pt. (points) or greater than 1584 pt. (points) using the Visual Basic for Applications FramesetBorderWidth property, the frame page border width does not change and you do not receive an error message.

CAUSE

The frame border width measurement must be between 0.05 pt. and 1584 pt.

WORKAROUND

Microsoft provides programming examples for illustration only, without warranty either expressed or implied. This includes, but is not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. This article assumes that you are familiar with the programming language that is being demonstrated and with the tools that are used to create and to debug procedures. Microsoft support engineers can help explain the functionality of a particular procedure, but they will not modify these examples to provide added functionality or construct procedures to meet your specific requirements. To set the FramesetBorderWidth property to zero using Visual Basic for Applications, you can achieve the same effect by turning off the displaying of frame page borders. For example, the following command line turns off the display of frame page borders:
ActiveWindow.ActivePane.Frameset.FrameDisplayBorders = False

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
