FP2000: Drag-and-Drop Operation in HTML View Does Not Create Link (220020)

In HTML view, when you use a drag-and-drop operation to create a link to a file for another Microsoft Office program (such as a .doc file), FrontPage only creates text that shows the file path.
CAUSE
The creation of a link to an Office document is not implemented in HTML view.
RESOLUTION
To create a link to an Office document with a drag-and-drop operation, you must be in Page view.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
