FP2000: Page Excluded from Publish Appears in Navigation Structure (220012)

When you exclude a page from being published with the rest of the Web but the page remains in the navigation structure, the page appears in the navigation structure, but the file does not exist in the Web when you publish the Web.
CAUSE
When a page is added to the navigation structure of a Web, the configuration information for the Web shows this page as being in the navigation structure. This information is published to the destination Web.
When you choose to not publish a page, even though this page is in the navigation structure, FrontPage does not check to make sure that the pages in the navigation structure are published.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, use one of the following methods.
Method 1: Publish the Page
If you want to keep this page in the navigation structure, you must publish the page. To turn off the Exclude this file when publishing the rest of the Web option, follow these steps:
- Right-click the file in Folders view, click Properties, and then click the Workgroup tab.
- Clear the Exclude this file when publishing the rest of the Web check box.
- Click OK.
Method 2: Remove the Page from the Navigation Structure
If you do not want to publish the page, you must remove the page from the navigation structure. To remove the page from navigation structure, follow these steps:
- In Navigation view, right-click the page that you want to remove from the navigation structure, and click Delete.
- Select Remove this page from all navigation bars, and click OK.
