FP2000: Themed Page That You Save to New Web Retains Old Theme (220005)

SYMPTOMS

When you save a page from a web with a theme to a web with a different theme, the saved page displays the theme from the original web when you open it in FrontPage.

NOTE: When you preview the page in your Web browser or click the Preview tab, the page appears with the same theme as the web in which you saved it.

CAUSE

The meta information of the page is not updated to match the web in which it is saved.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, open the saved page in the new web, and click Refresh on the View menu (or press F5). This rewrites the page's theme information.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
