FP2000: Overlaid Text Is Not Displayed Correctly in Web Browser When You Use Absolute Option (219986)

SYMPTOMS

When you use the Absolute option (on the Format menu, click Position, and then under Positioning style, click Absolute) to place text over another piece of text on your Web page, the text does not appear in your Web browser as it does in FrontPage.

NOTE: This is especially noticeable in tables and shared borders.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, when you want to overlay text, use absolute positioning for each bit of text.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
