FP2000: Up One Level Command Is Unavailable (219903)

SYMPTOMS

If you have a page located in a nested subfolder, the Up One Level command is unavailable (dimmed).

NOTE: The Up One Level command is not present on the Standard toolbar by default. You must first customize the Standard toolbar to use this feature. To customize your Standard toolbar, please see the "More Information" section of this article.

CAUSE

The Up One Level command is only available for Folders view. If you are in Hyperlinks view, Navigation view, or Page view, the command is unavailable.

RESOLUTION

To use the Up One Level command, follow these steps:
  1. In the Views list, click Folders.
  2. Click to select the page you want.
The Up One Level command will be available.

MORE INFORMATION

To customize your Standard toolbar to include the Up One Level command, follow these steps:
  1. On the Tools menu, click Customize.
  2. In the Customize dialog box, click the Commands tab.
  3. In the Categories list, click to select View.
  4. In the Commands list, locate the Up One Level command (it is located near the end of the list).
  5. Drag the Up One Level command to your Standard toolbar.
  6. Click Close.
