FP2000: Cannot Add Multiple Hit Counters to a Single Page (219832)

SYMPTOMS

When you add multiple hit counters to a single page, one of the following symptoms may occur:
  • If you use the same counter style, the hit counters show the same number.
  • If you use different styles for the hit counters, each hit counter component on the page increments.
  • If you reset the number on one of the hit counters, the numbers on the other hit counters are reset to the same number.

CAUSE

The hit counter component in FrontPage is not designed for multiple components on a single page.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, use only one hit counter on a single page.
